Developing a mechanic for multiplayer skill balancing in first person shooter games

Synopsis

This project involved developing a mechanic using Unreal Engine 5 to assist in balancing players of different skill levels in a first person shooter game. A group of participants were split into pairs where they answered questions in relation to their skill level, and then played against each other with no assistance. The balancing mechanic was then enabled for the lower-skilled player of the pair and another round was then played. After the second round, the mechanic was adjusted, and a third round was then played.
