Abertay Learning Enhancement (AbLE) Academy

The AbLE Academy provides staff and student development across the University and offers a home for institutional innovation.

Welcome to the AbLE Academy

Abertay University, recognised as the 2021 University of the Year for Teaching Quality by The Sunday Times and Times newspapers, is a modern institution with a global perspective deeply rooted in local and national communities. Our commitment lies in providing a rich educational experience through high-quality teaching and research. This commitment was demonstrated through being top Scottish modern university (NSS, 2023).

The Abertay Learning Enhancement (AbLE) Academy serves as a hub for academic staff development and institutional innovation. We foster collaboration between students and staff to enhance curriculum design and teaching quality, consistently striving to elevate the student experience.

We offer various development opportunities, including PgCAP, Quick Start, AbLE Workshops, Learning and Teaching project funding, conferences, and innovative microcredentials. Our Students as Partners initiative, in partnership with the Students’ Association, promotes co-creation to enrich the student experience. Abertay Online, housed within AbLE, supports the development of high-quality online programs and services.

Whether you're a staff member or student, we extend a warm welcome and invite collaboration. You can contact us at able@abertay.ac.uk.
