Visa and immigration information
for Job Applicants

This page provides all the necessary information you need to apply for a visa in order to work for Abertay University.

As a Scottish institution operating on a global stage, we are proud of the diversity of our workforce. We have 60+ nationalities represented across the University.

Immigration and visas

We are an A-rated sponsor licence holder, and will meet the costs of the certificates of sponsorship needed to support Skilled Worker visas.

We usually offer assistance with the costs of meeting immigration requirements when an eligible employee requires a visa to live in the UK and work for Abertay University. You can find advice on UK visas, immigration and travel on the UK Government - Working in the UK (Visas and Immigration) page.

The right to work in the UK

If you do not currently have the right to work in the UK, there may be opportunities for the University to sponsor you under the Skilled Worker route.

We will also do our best to give you information on other visa routes which may suit your employment circumstances.

Please note: before joining, all prospective employees need to demonstrate their Right to Work in the UK.
