Entry requirements

Undergraduate

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) 

Applicants will typically be required to pass the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education at a minimum of BCC, to include any essential subject at B. 

There are some programme variances, so please see course pages for full entry requirements including essential subjects. 

Postgraduate

Applicants will typically require a Bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 2.6 in a subject related to their chosen course.

English language requirements

All courses at Abertay University are taught in English. If your first language is not English, you will need to demonstrate that you meet our English language requirements.

How to apply to Abertay

Undergraduate

Undergraduate (UG) degree applications are made through UCAS, the UK's University & Colleges Admissions Service. Applications from everywhere in the world must be made through this system.

Applying for UG programmes

Postgraduate

Postgraduate (PG) degree applications can be made directly to Abertay through your selected programme page. Please visit your chosen postgraduate programme page on our website and select 'Apply Now' in the top navigation.

Scholarships

We offer scholarships to international students studying on our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees for international students will vary depending on your programme of study. Please visit your chosen programme page on our website for more information.

If you are self-funding your studies, you are expected to have sufficient funds available to cover your tuition fees before the start of each academic year. All international students are required to pay the whole annual fee in advance. Payment of tuition fees will take place before or during registration.
