Transfer your studies

Transfer to Abertay

We are excited to welcome applications from students who want to transfer from Community College or University into one of our degrees.

We are here to help you make the switch as simple and straightforward as possible. If you need support at any time, please feel free to reach out to our Regional Manager for Americas and Europe, Lauren Smith, at: l.smith@abertay.ac.uk.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Decide which degree you'd like to study using our course pages.
  2. Fill out the free Transfer Information Form on the right, and we will contact you to provide your transcript(s) and any other supporting documents.
  3. Once your academic records are submitted, Abertay’s Admissions Team will undertake a transfer credit evaluation to compare your college or university credit with your chosen degree. We will provide this to you so you can apply for the right year of entry.
  4. You then use this information to make an informed decision about applying to Abertay.

After that, to apply, please visit the UK universities application portal www.ucas.com.

For more in-depth information, read How to Apply to Abertay which covers the entire process from application to registration.

Scotland is the Best (Small) Country to live in

When you’re not studying, you will have PLENTY to see and do.

We had a hard time keeping the list short, so check out more on Visit Scotland.

Scottish Degrees have a Worldwide Reputation

Scotland is a small country - but it is mighty when it comes to education. Our universities have been at the leading edge of thought and knowledge for over six centuries, and are internationally respected for our academic rigour and focus.

Our degrees are applied, ideal for students who want to specialise immediately in their chosen subject, as the focus is on the main degree subject from Year 1. Our four year undergraduate degrees are similar to the North American system, with lectures, seminars and tutorials forming the basis of your learning.

Whatever kind of degree you study, and wherever you choose to work afterwards, it's reassuring to know that your degree will always be recognised and valued.

Be inspired.

Our grads have gone on to have amazing careers in the US.
