With your time at Abertay coming to an end, we'd like to make you aware of a few things to help make your transition from 'student' to 'alumni' as smooth as possible...

Keeping in touch

If you're eligible and have registered for graduation, you'll have already let us know if you're happy to hear from us in the future. For all other University leavers, please let us know if you'd like for us to stay in touch.

Stay In Touch

Accessing the important stuff after you leave

Via GradIntel, you can access your

  • Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR)

  • Digital degree Certificate

Both should be fully up-to-date and accessible after 12 July. If you're looking to secure work or further education and need to evidence these documents, you can send your prospective employer / education institution a secure link to view these electronically.

If you’re eligible for a Degree Certificate, you’ll receive this at the Graduation Ceremony on Friday 12 July. If you’re not attending in person, a paper version will be posted out to your home address by mid August.

Problems logging in? Be sure to contact GradIntel directly.

Your student email address

Your Abertay student email address is due to expire on 30 November 2024.

Make sure you have an alternative email address set up and re-direct anything that you'd like to continue receiving. It may be worth forwarding any references you've received or even your dissertation to your personal email account, just so that you can have access to these for as long as you need after leaving.

Careers Support for Abertay Graduates

As an Abertay graduate, you can continue to access the tools and services of the Careers Service for up to three years after you finish your studies.

The Careers Team have a wide variety of resources to help boost your career including online careers tools, practice and aptitude tests, one to one career guidance appointments and much more. All support can be accessed via the careers portal called called Abertay Connect (you need to register as a graduate to access the online tools and services).

So if you need some advice about finding a graduate level job, help with your CV, interviews or if you are thinking of moving into a new field, visit Abertay Connect or contact graduatesuccess@abertay.ac.uk
