Booking information and how to contact the Mental Health Team

How do I get an appointment?

If you're feeling overwhelmed in any way, please come and talk to the team.

Here are just some of the issues students have brought to us:

  • Homesickness

  • Feeling low

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Relationship difficulties

  • Loneliness

  • Self esteem

  • Panic attacks

  • Mental health issues

It's good to talk - and sometimes you need to talk to an experienced counsellor or Mental Health Advisor.

Contact: counselling@abertay.ac.uk to arrange an appointment.

You will then be sent the easy to complete referral forms, after which you'll be instructed how to book an assessment appointment.

Appointments are available 9am-5pm weekdays, and up to 6pm on two evenings a week throughout the year.

The service includes a Mental Health Advisor (RNHM) who can work with you if you are experiencing or are concerned about any mental health issues.

The Counselling and Mental Health Service adheres to the BACP Code of Ethics and Practice.

Please note: in order to use the Counselling booking service, you must read and agree to the terms of our Counselling and Mental Health Service Privacy Notice.

You can also speak to the Student Enquiry Zone (SEZ) on Level 1 of the Library or email counselling@abertay.ac.uk (open Mon - Fri, 9am-5pm).
