Biography

I am a Lecturer and a Programme Lead in the School of Design and Informatics. My doctoral research developed and evaluated, in terms of ease-of-use and user preference, an interactive simulation and visualisation toolkit for cancer cell signalling pathways. My current research activity includes applications of AR/VR technology to non-gaming domains, cloud gaming and games for healthcare. I teach a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules and supervise honours, masters and PhD projects developing mobile, AR and VR, and data visualisation applications.

I am currently the module leader for:

  • CMP309: Software Development for Mobile Devices
  • CMP418: Programming Animation Systems

I also co-deliver:

  • CMP104: Programming with C++
  • DES205: Level Design and Scripting
  • CMP303: Network Systems for Game Development
  • CMP501: Network Game Development
