Biography

Sally Lumsdaine is a Lecturer in Counselling within the Division of Health Sciences. Her undergraduate degree from Aberdeen University was in Psychology and she has completed an MSc in Counselling at Abertay.  Sally has a particular research interest in student transitions within counselling and has a strong practitioner focus to her work.  Sally has also had research published on physical disability and mental health and the use of disability sport as a cultural resource.

Sally is a qualified counsellor and counselling supervisor and manages the Tayside Centre for Counselling which is a research clinic based within Abertay University. 

As a Certified Cyber Therapist Sally leads on the delivery of OPT teaching across the Counselling programme. In addition she also teaches across the undergraduate and postgraduate counselling programmes and is involved in the supervision of groups and individuals both within and out with Abertay.
