Robin is a BA (Hons) Computer Arts graduate.
My internship gave me the opportunity to experience working in a real game studio, something that can’t really be simulated by university modules or group projects, and I learned a huge amount about teamwork and collaboration in a very short time frame as a result of this. Getting to work alongside professional game developers was utterly invaluable and I think it really helped me to grow as an artist and game developer.
My internship with Pocket Sized Hands was incredibly beneficial to my future career... I would strongly recommend other students to go for opportunities like this.Robin Lawrence | Pocket Sized Hands | Character Artist
My internship with Pocket Sized Hands was incredibly beneficial to my future career, as I’m now employed full-time at Pocket Sized Hands! After my internship, which lasted five weeks, I was asked to continue working part-time for the company and I was then offered my full-time position a year later when I graduated. Thanks to my internship, I have a permanent role at a studio I love – and even if I hadn’t continued to work at Pocket Sized Hands, the internship still would have opened doors into the games industry for me, an industry that is known for being competitive and difficult to get into at times. I would strongly recommend other students to go for opportunities like this.
